Herbal Medicine To Support Health
Do you have a chronic skin condition that hasn't responded to allopathic medication, experiencing menopausal flushes, headaches, migraines or increasing arthritic joint pain, anxiety or lack of sleep?
Traditional herbal medicine is for many of the world's population, still the primary source of healthcare.* In Western herbal medicine treatment is tailored to the individual and medicines given to patients are made from plants including dried herbs and powders as infusions and decoctions, herbal tinctures, infused oils and handmade creams and lotions.
Frances is a practising member of both the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) and the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy (CPP). She is also an independent herbal researcher with a particular interest in early medieval herbal remedies.
Learn about the history and associated folklore of Western herbal medicine, discover what herbalists do and find out how you may benefit from herbal medicine whether it is drinking herbal teas, making your own creams or a tincture tailored to your needs. You can download recipes for making your own herbal remedies. During the summer months Frances leads herbal workshops and herb walks in Bushey and Watford, Herts and will happily accompany you on your favourite group walk to identify medicinal plants in the hedgerows, woods and fields.
Frances give talks about herbal medicine and herbal history to local gardening and interest groups and will create a bespoke talk if there is a particular topic of local herbal history that your members would like to learn more about.
