"Nature itself is the best physician"
How Can Herbal Medicine Help?
Do you have a chronic skin condition that hasn't responded to allopathic medication, experiencing menopausal flushes, headaches, migraines or increasing arthritic joint pain, anxiety or lack of sleep?
Traditional herbal medicine is for many of the world's population, still the primary source of healthcare.* In Western herbal medicine treatment is tailored to the individual and medicines given to patients are made from plants including dried herbs and powders as infusions and decoctions, herbal tinctures, infused oils and handmade creams and lotions.
Frances is a practising member of both the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) and the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy (CPP). She is also an independent herbal researcher with a particular interest in early medieval formulations.
At Soothingminds you will find information about the history of Western herbal medicine, discover what herbalists do and learn more about the health benefits of herbal medicine. You can download recipes for making your own herbal remedies. During the summer months Frances leads herbal workshops and herb walks in Bushey and Watford, Herts.
Frances give talks about herbal medicine and herbal history to local gardening and interest groups and will create a bespoke talk if there is a particular topic of local herbal history that your group would like to learn more about.
